In Het laatste woord the Dutchman Jurriën ten Cate spends years behind bars in Tunisia, convicted of a crime whose proof do not stacks up. We built a 3D scene from real photos of the hotel-room crime scene, turning archival stills into a space you move through. His handwritten letters from prison became visual motifs, embedded in the leader to tie his voice back into the design. We didn’t interpret Jurrien’s story, we built the atmosphere around it. His handwritten letters, the only voice he still had, weave through the design as quiet proof of his existence. The result is a scene that doesn’t explain, but makes you feel the silence.

In Zitten en Zwijgen we look into the hidden world of Dutch women’s prisons, places where voices are silenced and power goes unchecked. Our contribution was bold: we translated the raw, painful testimonies into hand-drawn animations (drawn by Roughmen), giving form to stories of intimidation, neglect, and abuse inside the walls. We didn’t soften the truth. We made it stark, clear and unmistakable. Because some subjects must be seen to be heard.

Breaking Meth dives into the dark chemistry behind the rise of crystal meth in the Netherlands, how a party drug turns into a national industry and a personal downfall. Our artwork captures that collision. A human skull overtaken by blue crystals, beauty eating its host. It’s a single image that holds the full story, temptation, decay, and the cost of escape. For this project, design was both art and a warning sign.

In the summer of 2021 a holiday turned into tragedy: a brawl on Mallorca leads to the death of 27-year-old Carlo Heuvelman and leaves dozens shaken. Over four years Jessica Villerius and her team followed victims, families, suspects, witnesses and media voices to build a full-360° view of the night and the years after.

TBS: Aan de andere kant opens the doors of a world most people only know from headlines. It shows life inside the clinic, controlled, confronting, but deeply human. We built a visual pack to match that honesty. A leader and title cards that explain without judgment, replacing voiceover with clarity. The tone stays neutral, the design transparent, letting the story breathe. Setting a space for viewers to see, listen, and recognize what’s real.
